We are open to anyone with a government-issued photo ID. No appointments are necessary; however, we encourage patrons to contact us in advance to ensure your requested material is available upon arrival. Information for Researchers

We welcome students, independent researchers, and community members to come in and explore our materials. Before using the Reading Room, you should complete the Patron Registration Form and become familiar with the Reading Room Rules of Use.

If you have never visited UCI Special Collections & Archives, we recommend you consult the Library Search catalog and/or the Online Archive of California to identify your research material.

Special Collections & Archives materials do not circulate. All materials will be requested at the Reference Desk and brought out to patrons by staff members. Some materials are stored off-site or are not yet processed and must be requested in advance of your visit.

Getting Here & Parking

Annis Reading Room is located on the fifth floor of Langson Library. Visitors should park in the Student Center Parking Structure ($10/day) directly across from the Student Center entrance at West Peltason and Pereira. Langson Library is a short walk from there. For Accessibility information, please visit the UCI Libraries' Accessibility page.

Upon entering the library, take the set of elevators ahead of you to the left (closest to the Circulation Desk). Once you arrive on the fifth floor, the Reading Room is directly in front of you to the left of the display cases.
